4. Traceability: Every part traced to material lot, machine, operator, date. 15-year retention.
5. Continuous improvement: Annual KPI targets for scrap, complaints, delivery

For buyers: field failures can be traced to batch and root cause. New parts validated to documented standard.

How to verify a certificate is genuine

1. Get certificate number and body — IATF certs issued by recognized bodies (SGS, BV, TÜV, BSI, DNV)
2. Check IATF database — search at iatfglobaloversight.org. Not in database = fake.
3. Verify scope — must explicitly include "design and manufacture of EGR valves"
4. Ask for latest surveillance audit — within 12 months
5. Match company name — must match supplier's legal name
